“Your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love” (Nate Berkus)

I am passionate about interiors. Spaces that people want to spend time in. Our environments have a profound impact on our mood, as so many of us experienced during the pandemic – from making us smile and relax at one end of the spectrum to limiting and depressing us at the other.

A room should be as comfortable as it is beautiful. It should tell your story and welcome visitors, while also being practical and functional – we all need to store our stuff somewhere…

How I can help

Maybe you feel you are paralysed by the thought of what’s lurking in the attic, basement or garage and don’t know where to start.

Or perhaps you are preparing your house for sale - it’s an open secret that carefully curated homes sell faster and for a higher price. *

Drawing on my experience of letting and selling my own homes, as well as staging properties for my real estate clients, I will guide you through the editing, organising and styling processes, or even take them off your hands completely.

During my site visit I’ll dive into understanding how the space needs to function for you, who will use it, your timeline and your budget.

* In 2018 Rightmove reported that “95% of staged homes in the UK sold quicker than those which were un-staged, and staged homes sell for 8% more than non-staged homes.”

I am a verified member of APDO, the UK’s membership association for decluttering and organising professionals. APDO sets standards, provides professional development and supports the growth of the industry.

“My girlfriend and I wanted some artworks to fill the blank walls of our new home, but we couldn’t agree on what we wanted. I asked Karen to help us to ‘shop our house’ for pictures and photos that could be revived with new mounts and frames, which she did. She also took us to an auction where we bought a set of Japanese paintings on silk for £5 each. We’d never have spotted them ourselves and they look amazing!”
